Vice President, New York
Nick Chatman is a Vice President in Prager's Strategic Advisory practice. Mr. Chatman has over 10 years of investment banking experience working primarily with public and private corporate clients on mergers, acquisitions, corporate finance and other strategic transactions. Prior to joining Prager & Co. in 2019, Mr. Chatman studied the higher education sector as a research & teaching fellow and doctoral student at Harvard University where his research focused on trends in funding models and finance practices at colleges and universities.
Prior to his graduate studies, Mr. Chatman was a Director in the investment banking group at Cowen & Company, a leading independent investment bank focused on the healthcare, natural resources, technology, and transportation sectors. Prior to Cowen, Mr. Chatman was a banker in the natural resources investment banking team at J.P. Morgan in New York where he focused on M&A, equity and debt transactions for large cap clients. Mr. Chatman began his investment banking career as an M&A banker at HSBC in London where he worked across multiple sectors including energy & utilities, natural resources, technology and transportation.
Mr. Chatman received his undergraduate degree in philosophy from the University of California, Berkeley and two master's degrees in education policy and management from Harvard University.
